Located in the heart of West Tennessee between Memphis and Nashville, Jackson is known for its big city flair and small town charm. With our unique shops, history, art galleries and delicious Southern style cooking, the area is a vacationer’s dream for relaxing and enjoying the past.

Jackson is a historic city rich with diversity and ethnic culture. We are home to the Jackson Symphony, the Jackson Theater Guild, the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant, the NAIA Division 1 Women’s National Basketball National Championship, the Shannon Street Blues Festival and much, much more.

With a City population of just over 60,000, Jackson is energized by restaurants and retail, museums and manufacturing facilities that all work together to bring about a fantastic city.

Jackson is home to the famous Casey Jones Village and Museum – a Top 10 Tennessee attraction! Casey Jones offers a wide variety of stores that range from antiques to an ice cream parlor.  They also offer mini golf and a county buffet at Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store. 

The International Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame is located in downtown Jackson. Rock-A-Billy is a county music sound with a blend of the blues.  See it, hear it, live it! In Jackson.

The West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx is the AA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. The team plays at 6,000-seat Pringles Park beginning in April and provides a fun, family friendly atmosphere that draws fans from across the region.

In addition to lots of fun things to do, Jackson has a huge variety dining options available - from Japanese and traditional Italian to good old-fashioned Southern cooking. 

Local favorites include Asahi Japanese Steakhouse, Old Town Spaghetti Store and Flat iron Grille. Each of these are all locally owned and operated.
